We acted for our client (a reputable construction company and its directors) in relation to claims alleged against them for misfeasance / breach of director’s duties claim, preference payments and wrongful trading in the value of over £500,000, brought by the company’s joint liquidators.
We entered correspondence with the joint liquidators instructed to robustly defend the claims and seek to narrow the issues, following which we entered into bilateral written negotiations (including attending a without prejudice meeting) and obtained a satisfactory settlement for our clients.
