Cross-border estate planning

Clare provided estate planning advice and prepared new Wills for clients, in a matter valued at £12 million. One of the client’s is a US citizen and had significant assets in the US. Therefore, they required advice in relation to cross-border inheritance tax implications.

Clare provided advice in relation to the double tax treaty between the UK and USA and coordinated with US lawyers in relation to US estate planning.
