The Construction team assisted a regular client in preparing construction documentation for an interior fit-out of their office facilities.

The work involved translating a schedule of amendments and Scope for an NEC4 building contract into a schedule of amendments for the JCT 2024 form, requiring considerable consultation and instructions from the client.

The team acted swiftly in producing an updated, accurate and proportionate set of contract amendments to the JCT Intermediate with Contractor’s Design, to suit the project requirements and to meet the deadline for tender. This was a tricky technical drafting exercise, involving translating certain contract principles into others and informing the client where the position would be changed. The client required little input as to the changes and was fully informed throughout. The invitation to tender was issued on time and invited considerable interest from the market.
