Our client, School Vue Limited has developed an educational management information system for schools and multi-academy trusts. We were instructed to prepare terms of business for the new service. As the system relates to the personal data of students, we also advised our client on the data protection compliance of the system including analysis of the legal roles of the client and the school in relation to the pupils’ (the “data subjects’”) personal data, their legal bases for the data processing and the implications for the sharing of data between the schools and the client
