Thomson Snell & Passmore act for BDP International UK

Thomson Snell & Passmore were pleased to have acted for BDP International UK Limited (BDP) in connection with the re-location of PSABDP’s UK HQ to new premises within Riverbridge House, Crossways Business Park, Dartford, Kent.

BDP is a subsidiary of PSA International, a major, multinational logistics, freight forwarding and supply chain management company specialising in global transportation support activities, including air, ocean and ground freight, as well as customs brokerage and warehousing and whose subsidiary companies trade globally under the banner ‘PSABDP’.

Thomson Snell & Passmore has acted for BDP since 2016, and has advised them on a variety of matters involving real estate, corporate restructure, dispute resolution and employment advice.

When BDP recognised the need to relocate their HQ to larger premises, BDP turned to Alex Lewsley, a Partner in the commercial real estate division of our Real Estate team who had previously assisted BDP with lease acquisitions and renewals at strategically located premises near Heathrow Airport and Manchester Airport.

Time was crucial due to approaching lease expiries at BDP’s existing HQ premises, spread over two units at nearby Corinthian House. Tactical advice in relation to those existing leasehold premises was given, bespoke to the circumstances, enabling BDP to manage its existing landlord and thereby ultimately engineer a smooth transition to its new HQ premises. Client expectations also had to be managed throughout to ensure BDP did not commit to its fit-out contractors too early.

Alex Lewsley was assisted on the Riverbridge House letting by Katarina Bloodworth, an Associate in the commercial real estate division of our Real Estate team, with support provided on the Corinthian House exit by James Parratt, a Senior Associate in the real estate disputes division of our Dispute Resolution team.
