Work experience is a vital opportunity for students to gain exposure to various employment options and help to determine future decisions relating to your career. We work hard to provide students with a real insight into the legal sector and the role of a Trainee Solicitor.
Work placement for students at undergraduate level 6 – 17 July 2026
Each year we provide a two-week work placement during the Summer period for undergraduates, based at our Tunbridge Wells office.
The placement consists of spending time with our Trainee Solicitors, gaining important insights and information about the role of a Trainee Solicitor and the training contract at Thomson Snell & Passmore. Students also benefit from the diverse range of practice areas by spending time in Private Client and Commercial practice teams. The placement includes a group project which culminates in a mock Employment Tribunal or mediation session run by lawyers at the firm.

The undergraduate work placement scheme for 2026 is now open for you to apply. The closing date for applications is 31 January 2026.
