We are looking for an experienced and commercially minded Professional Support Lawyer (PSL) to join our Corporate & Commercial team. This is a key strategic role, supporting the delivery of high-quality legal services through the development of know-how, training, and best practice.
The role
Working closely with the Head of Department, you will play a central role in shaping and maintaining the team’s legal knowledge and operational excellence. You’ll develop and manage precedents, keep the team up to date with legal and market developments, and support lawyers with research and technical queries.
You will also contribute to training and professional development, support client knowledge initiatives, and play an active role in marketing and business development activities.
Key responsibilities
• Develop and maintain precedents, practice notes, and know-how resources
• Monitor legal developments and provide clear, practical updates to the team and clients
• Deliver training and support the professional development of lawyers
• Assist with client knowledge, key client plans, and sector insights
• Contribute to articles, briefings, seminars, and marketing initiatives
• Support innovation and legal technology projects within the department
About you
You will be a qualified lawyer with strong experience in Corporate & Commercial and/or Banking & Finance work. You’ll bring excellent technical knowledge, a collaborative approach, and the ability to communicate complex legal issues clearly and effectively.
You should also demonstrate:
• Strong analytical and organisational skills
• A proactive and solutions-focused mindset
• Experience in knowledge management, training, or PSL work (desirable)
• Confidence working both independently and as part of a team
