We are looking for an experienced and technically strong Senior Finance Accountant to join our Finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified accountant to play a key role in maintaining the integrity of the firm’s financial reporting, strengthening financial controls and supporting strategic financial decision-making.
The role
Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will take ownership of statutory financial reporting, external audit coordination, balance sheet control and partnership accounting. Working closely with the Finance Manager and CFO, you will help develop the firm’s financial reporting capability while ensuring robust financial controls are maintained across the finance function.
This is a varied role combining technical accounting expertise, financial analysis and stakeholder collaboration. It offers the opportunity to make a real impact within a successful and ambitious professional services firm.
About you
To be successful in this role, you will be a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) with strong technical accounting expertise and excellent analytical skills.
You will also have:
- Experience preparing statutory accounts and supporting external audits
- Strong financial reporting and general ledger experience
- Experience managing balance sheet reconciliations and financial controls
- Advanced Excel skills, including data analysis and reporting
- The ability to interpret and communicate financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders
- Excellent attention to detail and a highly organised approach
- A proactive mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.
Experience within a professional services environment, particularly a law firm, and exposure to partnership accounting would be advantageous.
