Harry Roffey

Harry is a Corporate Lawyer in Thomson Snell & Passmore’s Corporate team, specialising in M&A, corporate governance, and wider corporate transactional and advisory work.

He advises on a range of corporate transactions, including share and asset acquisitions and disposals, corporate restructurings, and shareholder arrangements, supporting clients through due diligence, documentation, negotiation, and completion. Harry works with owner-managed businesses, management teams, and corporate clients across a variety of sectors, with particular experience in the Consumer Products (Food & Drink) and Automotive sectors. He is personable and takes the time to understand his clients’ legal issues, adopting a collaborative approach to ensure transactions are delivered efficiently and cost-effectively.

Harry joined Thomson Snell & Passmore in 2021 as a Paralegal in the Corporate team, before completing his Training Contract with the Firm and qualifying as a solicitor in March 2024. Prior to joining the Firm, he spent six months at another leading regional firm and completed a 12-month industrial placement in procurement and contract management at a major financial institution during his degree.

Outside of his fee-earning work, Harry is involved in the Firm’s Dementia Friends initiative, supporting people living with dementia in the local community. He has been a councillor of the Tunbridge Wells, Tonbridge and District Law Society since January 2025.

Harry was nominated for the Kent Junior Lawyers Division Trainee Solicitor of the Year Award 2022.

Harry was part of the transactional team which won the Insider Dealmakers Deal of the Year (£10m+) 2022 and also the team that won Corporate Law Firm of the Year 2022.

Dementia friendly

Education

Harry graduated with a law degree from the University of Southampton in 2019. He remained at Southampton to undertake a masters in law achieving a distinction. As the final part of his legal education, Harry attended the University of Law in Guildford where he studied the Legal Practice Course with an MSc in Law, Business and Management both with a distinction.

During his time at university, Harry was a committee member of the mooting society and elected course representative during 3 years of study.

Harry qualified as a solicitor in March 2024.
