Seray Genc

Seray is an Associate in the firm’s Corporate & Commercial department. She advises clients on a wide range of commercial matters, with particular experience in commercial contracts, intellectual property, data protection and transactional support.

Before joining Thomson Snell & Passmore in 2025, Seray worked at a national law firm where she acted for clients across technology, pharmaceutical, travel and e-commerce sectors. Her work included drafting and negotiating complex commercial agreements, advising on UK GDPR compliance and supporting business transactions through due diligence and contract readiness.

Seray qualified as a solicitor in 2023 and brings a practical and commercially focused approach to helping clients meet their strategic goals. She is fluent in Turkish and English.

Drafting, reviewing, negotiating a wide range of commercial contracts, including supply, service, IT, technology, franchise and outsourcing agreements
Advising on UK GDPR compliance and international data transfers, including privacy notices, data audits and cross-border processing
Intellectual property protection including drafting assignment clauses and advising on intellectual property in commercial or corporate deals
Commercial due diligence and document readiness for business acquisitions, disposals and joint ventures
Advising on consumer and travel law including compliance with sector-specific legislation and CMA guidance
Working closely with directors and in-house teams to align legal solutions with commercial objectives

Education

Seray studied Biomedical Sciences before completing her postgraduate law degree (MA Law) at the University of Bristol. She then studied the Legal Practice Course and LLM part-time at the University of Law alongside her training contract.
