Shay McGuire - Thomson Snell & Passmore

Shay is a first year Trainee Solicitor with the Real Estate team. Before undertaking his Legal Practice Course (LPC), Shay was a paralegal in the Real Estate Department at the firm.

During his time at University, Shay was the Vice-president of the International Organisation Society as well as a volunteer adviser at Citizens Advice Bureau.

In his spare time, Shay likes to play football and attend the gym. In addition, Shay has a particular legal interest in outer space law.

Education

Shay has studied law at both an undergraduate and postgraduate level at the University of Kent, where he obtained a Bachelor of Law with Honours Degree (class) and a Masters in International Law with Human Rights Law. He subsequently achieved a distinction on the LPC in 2025 from the University of Law.
